How up-to-date is the information?

England & Wales data
The Land Registry sends us monthly updates. However, please bear in mind that there is approximately a three-month delay from when properties are sold to becoming officially registered with the Land Registry so it is unlikely that you will find sold house prices of properties that have been sold very recently.

Scotland data
We receive monthly updates from the Registers of Scotland. However please bear in mind that transactions usually take a few weeks before they are recorded and so prices of properties sold very recently may not be available immediately.

I don't want anyone to be able to know how much I paid for my house - please remove the information from your site.

Unfortunately we are not able to do this. Price information relating to purchases of property must be provided to the Land Registry and Registers of Scotland to enable them to comply with their statutory obligations to maintain public registers. This information can therefore be obtained directly from these organisations by anyone, upon payment of a fee.
